Grandparents legal Rights Today

Grandparents Legal rights

Grandparents legal rights are changing everyday. If you are in need of knowing where you stand as a grandparent the web is definitely the place to go for quick information. I have been put hands holding baby feetin a situation where I have had to research my rights so I can get visitation with my grandchildren. If you are in need of asking someone question I found this really great place to do just that. They answer questions about parental rights and grandparents rights as well. This is one of the main things you should do before you go to court for custody or visitation, ask lots of questions. The more questions you ask and have answers to the more prepared you will be with your case. If you have unanswered questions I would suggest you visit this great website I found to answer questions…On FindLaw Answers, the interactive message boards where users can pose questions which are then answered by the greater FindLaw community, we see trends on topics that are important to the question-asking public. A recurring Family Law topic that comes up is about grandparents’ rights to custody or visitation of their grandchildren. So, you may be wondering too, do grandparents have legal rights to see their grandchildren?

Linda, You don’t say what state you live in but every state has a little different laws. I am not an attorney and I can’t give you legal advice but I can share what I have learned.
From what I have learned I would say that she probably can. The cases I have seen have been very one sided in the Mothers favor unless she is proven unfit. I am not saying that it is right but If I were you I would contact an attorney and find out what the laws are in your state. The laws don’t just pertain to children with a deceased parent. My son got killed in an auto accident and everything went well until I confronted my daughter-in-law about some of her habits and I had to go to court to get set visitation.
I believe that most states have some form of grandparents rights but you still have to get them.

Don’t ever give up. Good luck
